Naturland Certification


For us, this is a matter close to our hearts: The Naturland Certification. As of April 2019, we are certified for the production of organic malt. This certification enables us to broaden our range by offering controlled, untreated malt. Purchasers of such products include long-standing traditional breweries, young craft breweries as well as established breweries from all over Germany.

Technology and staff are ready


In the centre of Schweinfurt, we have cultivated the skill of processing premium malt for more than a century. With the Naturland Certification, we now raise our quality standards by a further step, most of all a step above our competitors. Our technology and our staff have been fastidiously prepared for the new product line. After numerous training courses and absolved practical runs – even with our breweries and the farmers – we are now confident to be able to offer you gently processed, premium organic malt. The organic barley used is sourced from regional farmers from our Lower Franconian
home. In this process, we are also happy to process barley purchased directly by our organic breweries on a wage basis.

With the Naturland Certification, we have prepared ourselves for the future and the growing demands of our customers. In close contact with our customer breweries, we have attended to their requirements and visions, most of all the goal of harmony between humans and nature. We as Mälzerei Schubert strive to grow in conjunction with the success and the ideas of our customers. This incorporates a constant development and adaptation of existing processes which we have now fulfilled with the introduction of an organic malt line. With our aspiration to premium quality malts, this was a natural conversion. Together with motivated employees, visionary customer breweries and farmers continually assessing themselves we could now pave the way together.
